Our Promise to Employees

The success of our company ultimately depends on the skills, experience and business conduct of our employees.

For our business to perform well, we must offer our clients best-in-class banking solutions and services. This goal can only be realized if we can attract and retain the most talented professionals in our role as an employer of choice. At Credit Suisse, we offer exciting and challenging career prospects, progressive employment conditions and wide-ranging training and development opportunities. As a result, our employees benefit from attractive long-term career prospects in an international working environment, helping us to retain their knowledge and experience within the bank and to derive maximum benefit from it for our clients.

Employee Training

Our employee training and development programs enable us to enhance the quality of our service and advisory offering and to continuously adapt our business to changing market and client needs.

Credit Suisse offers all employees a wide range of training programs that take the form of traditional classroom instruction, e-learning, video-based courses and online learning communities.

As a globally active company, we consider it important to give employees the opportunity to gain new experience by working abroad or in different business areas as part of their professional and personal development. Credit Suisse therefore takes targeted measures to promote internal mobility.

When selected positions at all levels become available, we first proactively approach our most suitably qualified employees to fill these vacancies before reaching out to external candidates.

Employee Survey

Employee satisfaction at the workplace has a decided influence on the performance and motivation of our employees. Credit Suisse conducts regular employee engagement surveys in conjunction with an independent consulting firm to assess employee satisfaction and to gain a better understanding of our employees' main concerns. The results provide a picture of our strengths and areas for us to improve, as well as enabling us to gauge our progress. The last employee engagement survey was carried out in spring 2015.
