The Position
Strategy, Portfolio & Operations (SPO) is a newly built function that aims to encompass a number of business partner functions for pRED including strategy, portfolio, program and project management office, clinical operations, sites and laboratory management, capability development, and external operations. SPO is set up leveraging a hub and spoke design with a clear mandate for core capabilities that are mirrored by the respective spokes in disease therapeutic areas and functions across pRED. SPO's mission is to deliver excellence in operations, ensure patient centricity, and enable high-quality decision-making. As a trusted partner across pRED, SPO contributes to pRED's research and development excellence.
Why we need you:
Some of the Intern's tasks are the testing of new or updated digital solutions with a fresh mindset and view while applying a structured and self-organized way of working. Once the solutions are in a high-quality state the intern is also supporting the end-user communities with the adoption of the solution and the preparation to apply the new functionalities in the productive environment. The intern's role requires close collaboration with the project teams and project leaders.
Two projects/applications will be the main focus of the internship:
Your challenges in the internship:
Support and document testing activities to ensure the quality of the development process
Document findings/issues and coordinate the resolution with the project teams
Support SED users with trainings and creating training materials
Support the SED champions in marking the lab equipment with BLE beacons for asset tracking in the new pRED Center locations
Support the SED champions in checking the metadata of the lab equipment in the database and clean-up the data sets
Bring a fresh mindset, spirit, and view into the projects
Who you are:
Basic knowledge of software development processes
Motivation and curiosity in applying basic IT knowledge in the real world at scale
Fluent in written and spoken English (other languages are an asset)
Customer service focused
A confident self-starter with the ability to work independently and take initiative where required
A flexible approach to coordinate demanding workloads and the ability to adapt to changes, prioritize your efforts to accomplish a variety of tasks within the deadlines
Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools; knowledge of Google Suite is a plus
A team player with an open personality and strong communication skills, enjoying working with people in interdisciplinary teams
