The Kaiseraugst production site is a cornerstone of Roche's global production and logistics network. Over 1900 people are employed here and the site is home to Roche's largest and most innovative packaging operation in the world.
The Internship Position
Clinical Supply Chain Management (PTDS) is responsible for the supply of all global clinical trials throughout the lifecycle of our products: Entry-into-Human to Post-Approval. The organization includes demand and supply planning, patient kit development based on clinical protocols, the operational aspects of packaging, distribution and inventory management. PTDS is a global organization and operates in Kaiseraugst CH, South San Francisco USA, and Mississauga CA.
You will actively support the team in several areas: Demand & Supply Planning, Network Planning, Systems & Process Optimization, and Industry Clinical Collaborations.
As an intern in the Clinical Supply Chain Planning department at the Kaiseraugst production site, you will support the team in a wide range of matters. In this internship you will:
learn a lot about supply planning for clinical trials
support strategic, administrative, and team building initiatives
support demand & supply planning
take over regular reporting
work on KPI/metric development and collection
take over knowledge management tasks
organize local team events
Who are you
You are enrolled or have completed your studies at a university or technical college, preferably in the field of supply chain management, business administration, life sciences (chemistry, biology, pharmacy), IT / computer science or another degree within the last 12 months and are interested to apply your knowledge in a modern work environment and get to know the pharmaceutical industry during an internship lasting at least 6 months .
In addition, you bring the following skills:
Passion for supply chain and / or clinical trials and pharmaceutical development
Very independent and structured way of working, fast comprehension skills
Organizational talent and very good communication skills
High IT affinity and good knowledge of Office applications (MS Office/Google Suite), SAP experience is a plus
Excellent English skills (German is a plus, but not a must)
Previous GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) experience is a plus
Technical Details:
The preferred start of the internship is in summer 2023 (earliest June) or can be discussed. Please indicate your preferred start date and the desired duration of the internship in your application.
Your application should include a motivational letter in which you highlight your interest in the position and our department.
A part-time internship (at least 60%) is possible.
Please note that we cannot support a final thesis.
Non-EU/EFTA citizens (m/f/n) must enclose a confirmation from the university with the application documents that a compulsory internship is part of the training.
