  NEO student-to-student Event: Space and Astroid Mining

  Space and Astroid Mining: What challenges are brought about by bringing resources from space into our economic system?
  
  Advances in aeronautic technology and flight system technologies open space for large-scale operations and enable mining and extraction of raw materials such as iron, gold, silver, palladium or platinum from Astroids or other near-earth planets and space objects, which in turn could be brought back to earth.
  
  In this from-student-to-student talk, Mr. Roman Polyakov will introduce us to these fascinating new opportunities and challenges. How does the mining/extraction technique work? What are the proposed mining project and targets? What about the safety? What are the economic implications? - Are we entering a world of abundance? What about the space economy, the current largest space mining companies and regulatory system?
