  Hackathon (Entrepreneur Club)

  REGISTRATION: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1lrX...57LDM/viewform Join us for the first ETH Hackathon! We will have 24 hours of coding, fun and networking in the SBB Inkubator near Hauptbahnhof. In 24 hours we will try to go from vision to code and create working programs. The only limit is your imagination. Food and drinks will be provided by our sponsors, the zurich based startups: GetYourGuide (http://getyourguide.com/), spocal (http://spocal.net/) and Teralytics (http://teralytics.ch/). Here is our vision for the hackathon: ======================= 0. Goals of the night 0.1. Create an awesome product. This can be anything (preferably some sort of software - A website that … - A small python game with … - An Android Application for … There are 0 limits on what is allowed. Specifically, everything is allowed: You want to build a node.js App with a PostgreSQL Backend? Great! An python game with pygame? Amazing! A native iPhone Application? Cool! Sky is the limit! 0.2. Having fun! This event is as much a competition as we will be there for games and jokes. 0.3. Learning: Seeing how far we'll get in one night -- from zero to hero… 0.4. Meeting new people with similar interests: Who knows what comes out of this event … 24 hours are a pretty long time to really get to know each other good! ## Schedule 1. Getting to know each other: For the start we will have an open session of brainstorming and networking. The participating startups will present themselves briefly, so you'll know where to direct all your questions either about programming questions or about founding in switzerland and so on! 2. Short presentation on what you want to hack on Everybody will present what ideas they have in mind and what they will (try) to build in the next 23 hours and teams will be formed, consisting of designers, hackers, visionaries… 3. We will prepare 4 meals: - 20.00 Dinner - 00.00 Midnight Snack - 08.00 Breakfast (with Zopf) - 12.00 Lunch Of course there will be snacks all the time and lots of coffee, Red Bull, Cola, water, juice, you-name-it … 4. Presentation of progress Right before breakfast every group will present it's progress and get some feedback and maybe some tips. 5. At 17.00 everybody gets the chance to present the (final) product they have been working on for 24 hours and we will choose the winners for the first prizes!
