As a (Senior) Consultant within the Risk Advisory Sustainability Services business, your role will be instrumental in supporting our clients to tackle some of today's key challenges by leveraging your knowledge and experience in various sustainability topics such as climate change, sustainable business practices, circular economy, or sustainable finance. In doing so, you will not only advise and create direct impact to our clients but will be an active part of our sustainability community and contribute to our strategy development, target setting, measuring, and reporting on progress, as well as go-to-market initiatives to grow Deloitte's sustainability proposition.
How you can make an impact

• Supporting clients on their sustainability journey by advising on strategies tackling different layers such as integrating sustainability in the overall strategy and governance, strengthening sustainability data and related governance and systems, as well as establishing sustainability related reporting and disclosure
• Advising clients in their decarbonisation journey by reducing business and climate-related risks across their value chains or on sustainable business practices such as circular approaches and impact driven business culture
• Conducting technical research on a broad range of environmental and sustainability topics including, but not limited to, climate risks, climate change adaptation and mitigation, responsible investing, environmental remediation, sustainable construction, resource-use efficiency, among others
• Leveraging your understanding of the sustainability regulatory landscape and climate change policy to advise on and contribute in wider sustainability reporting frameworks and disclosure requirements in Switzerland and Europe such as TCFD and EU Taxonomy

Who we are looking for

• You have a keen interest in sustainable development (particularly either in climate and decarbonisation, circular economy, or sustainable finance), and a passion to drive and improve business sustainability performance
• You have a bachelor or masters in sustainability, environmental sciences, ecology, energy management, material science, economics, or another related field of study
• You have 1 - 3 years of professional experience in sustainability through your studies, internship(s) or through an industry or consulting role
• You are familiar with one or more of these topics: assessing climate physical and transitional risks, developing decarbonisation strategies, developing circularity strategies, end-of-life product management, material flow analysis (experience in carbon footprint analysis, lifecycle assessment (LCA), or Cradle-to-Cradle), or supported sustainability data, governance and systems
• You are completely fluent in English, (Swiss) German would be a real asset, French is nice-to-have
