Internship Orchestration and Exceptions Management Cell & Gene Therapy co-innovation and business readiness support (6-12 months)

 

The Position

Who We Are

Orchestration and Exception Management (O&EM) is a new and fundamental capability for Technical Operations (PT) in order to deliver a future portfolio of Cell & Gene Therapy products. This portfolio of new products comes with the great promise to bring unprecedented medical advances to patients but also presents unique challenges: living products (e.g. cells) need to be delivered to patients in highly individualized supply chain models, which meet fast turn-around-times at a zero-error quality level. 

Orchestration and Exceptions Management is one of three end-to-end value chain groups, responsible for the ?virtual treatment journey? (data, transactions and documents). It is complementary to supply chain management that focuses on the ?physical journey? (materials, specimens, product) and patient operations, responsible for the ?patient journey?. 

As intern in O&EM you will be contributing to the future of CGT at Roche, by helping to address key co-innovation and business readiness challenges. The internship provides a healthy mix of hands on experience and learning opportunities in business development, agile management, IT-co-innovation and business readiness management. You will bring your passion, open mindset and many skills to the table including the ability to adopt and learn in complex environments, translate guidance into practice, delivery-oriented ways of working, your strong collaboration and communication skills.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Support various activities in context of the CGT Orchestration and Exceptions Management co-innovation with SAP and Accenture. For example: user testing, data preparation, communication, data readiness, SOP creation and training material creation.

  • Autonomously drive specific work packages with support and guidance of the O&EM team, to translate the strategy into action and results.

  • Work closely with the O&EM team, other E2E value chain teams, IT teams and selected stakeholder to learn ?on the job? and contribute to the success of our co-innovation and business readiness preparation.

Your profile:

  • Ongoing or recently completed Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent academic ongoing studies/qualification ideally with focus on Supply Chain/ Value Chain Management

  • First experience (or successfully completed internship) that involves working with agile teams (e.g. SAFe, SCRUM, Design Thinking)

  • Basic understanding of SAP ERP

Critical Competencies

  • Affinity with software and IT solutions

  • Structured, proactive and independent ways of working

  • Accurateness and an eye for detail

  • Ability to see the connections between seemingly disparate related issues (i.e. systems thinking)

  • Good English communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to embed patient and customer focused ways of working in own work
