The VCS team is part of our market leading M&A Operations and Transformation team in Switzerland. As a Consultant with a passion for analysis and problem-solving, you will have the opportunity to help our clients identify, quantify and implement performance improvement levers to create tangible value from an M&A deal or strategic transformation initiative.  Besides becoming a strong Value Creation Consultant, you will get a rounded skillset to master deal and non-deal initiatives from getting exposed to our broader sector and (cross-) functional capabilities, as well as our offerings across our M&A Operations and Transformation team. Such exposure to diverse scenarios and solutions across our practice offers a learning & development journey, which is unique to Deloitte's M&A practice. You will work with a highly talented, collaborative and inclusive group of professionals that are fluent in establishing value enhancing strategies, and can quickly shift into operational application where it matters most. We don't stop at the diagnostic phase. We help clients rapidly define their value thesis with a quantified impact, and make it executable for them and their stakeholders. 
Our team consists of profiles with experience across strategy, operational advisory, corporate roles and experts with deep knowledge across Commercial, R&D, Technology, Supply Chain and Operations, HR, Finance, Legal and Sustainability. This blend of experience with a hands-on attitude is what differentiates us and allows us to make a tangible impact that matters to our clients.

How you can make an impact

• M&A and transformations: Work with global corporates and Private Equity  clients on complex M&A transactions and transformations, including commercial and operational due diligence, EBITDA upside diagnostic, working capital improvement, and deal synergies
• Diverse project scope: Your work is diverse and focus will vary by project, covering operational and financial analysis, market and comparator research, report writing, and helping the client to achieve the impact through effective implementation management
• End-to-end from strategy to implementation: Be part of dynamic project teams, supporting senior team members in the delivery of project workstreams and deliverables, from client business diagnostics and solution design to implementation and value delivery ? getting your sleeves rolled up in executing to realise the value potential
• Functional & sector depth: Get exposure to functional and sector knowledge by conducting analyses to identify value creation levers for our clients across Sales & Marketing, IT, Finance, Human Resources, Real estate, Supply chain and Operations and overlaying each function with a Sustainability lens. Work across our main sectors: Life Sciences, Consumer, Industrials Products and Financial Services
• Business and Practice development: Support senior team members and get exposure to business development activities, including research, thought leadership, and practice management
• Hands-on training & development: Receive and give valuable on-the-job training, coaching, and mentoring from like-minded and inclusive colleagues in your teams, and benefit from the extensive learning resources at Deloitte

Who are we looking for
Professional and soft skills:

• Team player with a motivated and enthusiastic attitude towards dealing with people, ambiguity, and complexity
• Curious mind, motivation to contribute and learn
• Problem-solving skills and ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend actionable solutions
• Business acumen, passion for economics and interest in drivers of enterprise value
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
• Prior experience from internships is desired 

Technical Skills
You will have a passion for at least two of the following areas, and any prior exposure to these topics will be a benefit (e.g. during studies or internships):

• Cost reduction / P&L optimisation
• Market research and sizing
• Value chain analysis
• Financial Modelling
• Commercial operations and Revenue Growth
• Procurement, Supply chain, Manufacturing and Logistics Management
• Liquidity and Working Capital Management

Languages

• English is Mandatory
• German and/or French is a plus
