An evolving regulatory landscape, and a diversifying product portfolio requires the acceleration of clinical development for novel medicines addressing unmet medical need. Accelerated timelines and the need to manufacture high quality drugs more efficiently puts additional pressure on the CMC (Chemistry, Manufacturing, & Controls) operations of biopharmaceutical companies. Drug manufacturing is currently experiencing a wave of innovation, transforming the industry and presenting unique challenges to global companies that operate under complex and varied regulatory frameworks.
As an Intern within our Technical Regulatory Team team in Basel, you will gain insights into the work of Technical Regulatory Policy professionals who are responsible for driving technical regulatory policy activities for the Roche Pharma Group including the development of Roche global policy positions on key topics relevant to Pharma Technical, and effective advocacy of such positions externally for all international markets.
During the internship you will:
Support regional Regulatory Policy Leads in their daily tasks and gradually assume responsibility for agreed individual projects These activities will include
Database management (e.g., mapping of available guidelines on selected topics)
Data analysis (e.g., analyze results from different sources, identify trends)
Website maintenance and development of communication plans
Meeting management

Who You Are
To seek this challenging opportunity you are enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's or Ph.D. program in life sciences or pharmaceutical sciences and nearing the end of your studies. Your qualifications include, but are not limited to, the following:
Passionate about the field of Technical Regulator
First regulatory experience or knowledge in regulatory affairs
Ability to drive activities, work under pressure and to tight timelines
Good coordination and excellent communication skills
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Outstanding motivation and ability to learn
Excellent English language skills
The preferred start date of the internship is beginning of March for 6 months (minimum). Please clearly indicate your preferred starting date on your motivation letter. All applications always need to include a CV, motivation letter and certificate of your PhD, if applicable.
Please note that non-EU/EFTA nationals have to provide us a certificate of mandatory internship from their university.
