The Global Employer Services (GES) team, as part of the Deloitte Tax & Legal department, provides multi-national companies with targeted advice and strategies for running Global Mobility programs in an efficient manner with respect to tax and social security costs and supports clients with the end-to-end management of global compensation for internationally mobile employees. The team also ensures that clients are able to manage their global payroll and taxation requirements whilst paying employees accurately and on time.

As a Consultant on the Global Mobility team, you will support our clients with the end-to-end management and delivery of GCM services. Furthermore you will be part of the monthly delivery of expatriate payroll instructions (actual and shadow) and provide support in relation to delivery by local payroll teams. You will advise clients on compensation collation services on a monthly/quarterly basis and will be responsible for consulting projects in relation to all aspects of global mobility compensation, including process improvements, process mapping, training and delivery.

How you can make an impact

You will provide a high quality service to our multi-national clients in Global Mobility. 

• After an onboarding period you will perform parts of the GCM process which may include payroll instructions, assignee demographic setup, taxability reviews and payroll reconciliations
• Reviewing client payroll instructions from our technology database
• Delivery of the end to end process from the client's Global Mobility team to the local payroll teams
• Development of knowledge and adherence to our best practice service delivery models
• Responsibility for communications with our client service delivery teams located in the engagement office, nearshore and offshore
• Building and developing long term relationships with senior stakeholders, clients and teams

Who we are looking for 

• You are interested in learning about compensation services and ideally have some previous experience with compensation services to international or expatriats
• You like to work in teams and drive projects forward with a client service delivery skill
• You work independently, take the initiative and can build strong customer relationships
• You have excellent technical as well as analytical skills and are a reliable team player.
• You communicate confidently in English. Any further languages may be an advantage.

Ideally you have experience in:

• Experience of expatriate compensation implementation and service delivery
• Experience of working with technology platforms to perform the delivery of global compensation
• Knowledge of compensation technology platforms, including the Equus AssignmentPro Platform and understanding of excel macros and VBA coding, is an advantage.
