As a result of the increase in globalisation and global reach of companies, employment matters are becoming more and more complex. One of the greatest challenges that a company faces today is ensuring global compliance with tax laws and the various social insurance and employment law provisions.
The Global Employer Services (GES) team, as part of the Deloitte Tax & Legal department, provides multi-national companies with targeted advice and strategies for running Global Mobility programs in an efficient manner with respect to tax and social security costs.
As a Consultant on the GES team you will work closely with your team to administer and deliver global mobility services including tax consulting and global compensation management to major clients. As part of the central coordination team you will work across all aspects of global engagements, building close relationships with Deloitte teams around the world. You will also have the opportunity to work directly with the client Global Mobility teams based at Headquarters in Switzerland.

What you can expect from us
You will provide a high quality service to our multi-national clients in compliance and tax consulting. As a consultant you will work within a team involved in the following tasks:
- Coordination related to global tax compliance services including liaising directly with clients and Deloitte offices worldwide.
- Advising our clients on the tax and social security implications related to various global employment issues including tax residency, avoidance of double taxation and the taxation of complex compensation such as severance payments, long term and short term incentive income.
- Preparation and coordination of tax reconciliations and tax equalization calculations.
- Training for the preparation/review and coordination of individual income tax returns.
- Preparation and coordination of global compensation payroll instructions for individuals on split payrolls in their home and assignment countries.
- Coordination of out of scope services and liaising with clients and Deloitte offices worldwide.
- Interpretation and implementation of International Assignment Policies and ensuring consistent global tax treatment of various assignment compensation items and allowances.
- Various other tasks related to the successful management of Global Mobility programs for our clients.
Your qualifications and experience
- Ideally, you have experience in Tax and/or Global Mobility and/or Global Compensation & Benefits.
- Experience in a “Big-4” firm is a plus
- You work independently, take the initiative, are happy taking on responsibility and are solution-oriented.
- You have excellent technical & analytical skills and are a reliable team player.
- You have excellent attention to detail, and are a skilled user of MS Office applications.
- You communicate confidently in English. Any further languages, French in particular, would be an advantage.
