The position
Pharmaceutical Sciences (PS) is a global function within Roche Pharma Research and Early Development (pRED) which covers several research areas including Immunosafety. As part of the the Immunosafety group you will work in close collaboration with scientists from different departments within PS/pRED to generate and integrate molecular, cellular, tissue and functional data with the goal of delivering unique and holistic insights into personalized drug safety and enable informed decisions to bring the best drugs to patients.
In this position you will develop and/or apply innovative in vitro, in silico and in vivo (mouse) models to better investigate the mechanisms underlying cytokine release syndrome (CRS), identify novel biomarkers and validate their predictive value in clinical trials both retro- and prospectively.
Who you are
We are looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral scientist who graduated in the last 3 years and has the following expertise:
Excellent knowledge of immunology and solid experience in applying this knowledge to answer complex biological questions
As the ideal candidate, you have experience with biologics, namely monoclonal antibodies, fusion/bispecific molecules, peptides, and immune-engaging molecules
Theoretical and practical knowledge of flow cytometry is a must
Practical experience in primary cell culture and in vitro immunoassay (e.g. ELISA, ELISpot, multiplexed immunoassays, etc.)
Experience in the field of cancer immunotherapy and with immuno-oncology in-vivo models is a plus
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and strong attitude to teamwork.
Excellent strategic thinking, self-initiative and strong sense of accountability.
Ability and willingness to challenge, be challenged and learn.
Strong track record in immunology and/or immunosafety
Proficient in spoken and written English
